James Hawkins, DO, is a vein specialist certified by the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine, with over 18 years of experience. At Fox Valley Vein Centers, Dr. Hawkins serves patients living in and around Sandwich, Yorkville, and Aurora, Illinois.
Dr. Hawkins was born just outside of Chicago in Evergreen Park. He earned his undergraduate degree from Benedictine College, located in Lisle, Illinois, followed by his medical degree from the Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. Dr. Hawkins then completed his subsequent residency at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, located in Chicago.
Today, Dr. Hawkins is a registered vascular technologist and a registered physician in vascular interpretation. At Fox Valley Vein Centers, he offers effective solutions for several common vascular conditions, including spider veins and varicose veins. Dr. Hawkins routinely performs vein treatments, including sclerotherapy, ambulatory phlebectomy, and endovenous ablation using the VenaCure EVLT® system.
Dr. Hawkins has been practicing in Sandwich, Plainfield, and Yorkville for over 10 years, and he is proud to serve his local community. He currently resides in Yorkville with his wife and seven children.
